Dear Visitor to the St. Luke web page,
Thank you for checking out our church today. I hope you find something helpful in these pages on our website.
Even more, I hope you get a sense of the Spirit moving through this community, welcoming you and inviting you to be part of what God is doing in our midst.
St. Luke is a gem of a congregation that meets every Sunday at 10 am. During the pandemic, we have been gathering virtually on Zoom calls most weeks. Every few weeks, we may have a pre-recorded service, but we always like to have a personal check-in afterwards. Either way, you may access the Zoom link available on the Homepage, or tune in to past services on the Sermon page.
This fall, the Church will be starting a new children’s program in conjunction with friends from the Main Line Muslim Society, which had been holding prayer services in our building until the pandemic hit. The program, which is currently in formation, is based on the model of the civil rights freedom schools. The children of the congregations will meet separately to learn about their own faith traditions and come together once a month to talk about the similarities and differences in how we approach the same basic lessons. Please let us know if you have an interest in this exciting new endeavor.
There are plenty of other ways you can connect with the people of St. Luke - through periodic Bible studies, through LIFE groups which do Bible study and personal support, and through participation in the Sunday services. We are a friendly crew and would love to get to know you in any of these spaces, even if it has to be online for the moment!
So stop in on any of the virtual events, or send me an email to introduce yourself or your family. I look forward to talking with you.
